Laura Bygrave qualified as a physiotherapist in 2013 from Hertfordshire University. After qualifying, Laura started at Bedford hospital where she worked as part of the falls team. Laura also volunteered for 4 weeks in Tanzania in 2013 where she worked with a paediatric physiotherapist and also spent a week in a village health centre. Laura continued to work at Bedford hospital for two years where she covered the medical wards, gynaecology and pulmonary rehab.
In 2015 Laura started her role at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust as part of the pulmonary rehab team. Laura then went on to become a band 6 in 2016 and found her passion in the field of ILD management.
Since starting in 2016 Laura has started up an ILD Support group in the local area, helped with numerous awareness days, set up a pathway for ILD patients from the acute trust into our service, fundraised for British Lung Foundation and Action Pulmonary Fibrosis, attended network meetings and attended numerous courses
