A range of internal and external speakers will present. External speakers include:
- Dr Paul Grime, Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London: ‘Behind the walls of the Palace of Westminster’, dealing with occupational health in the Houses of Parliament; with a focus on occupational respiratory health
- Dr James Hull, Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust: ‘Respiratory problems in Athletes – An Occupational Lung Disease?’, discussing the high prevalence of respiratory problems in athletic individuals, and whether as such this could be considered an occupational hazard. He will cover exercise-induced asthma, cough and respiratory infection. He will also discuss doping and anti-doping implications in this context.
