Interstitial Lung Disease Clinical Nurse Specialist
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Band 7 ILD CNS within the respiratory and allergy service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust providing services across three sites at Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St Mary’s Hospital.
Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, along-side our consultants, the post holder will be expected to lead on and further develop the nursing service in order to provide best nursing care for patients referred to our tertiary specialist ILD and sarcoid service to promote optimum health and support for patients.
Being the first in post, the role has a high emphasis on service development, in order to meet ILD Specialist Service requirements with the ability to forge good networks and liaison across care settings and with NHS England and national ILD networks essential to the role.
The successful applicant will need to have a broad range of respiratory knowledge and skills to be able to support patients throughout their care pathway from diagnosis through to end- of-life.
The role demands the ability to be innovative, flexible, a strong team player and also to be able to work autonomously in nurse-led clinics. There is a high requirement for teaching and supporting others so teaching experience is also highly desirable.
